When it comes to weddings, it’s no surprise that celebrations will be on the smaller side for now. This is what we call intimate weddings and we expect to see more of these in the coming months. Intimate wedding or micro weddings may have scaled down in size, but it does not mean that couples can’t have a special and gorgeous wedding day for themselves and their select guests to enjoy.
Here are some tips to make your intimate wedding doable and just as grand you wish it to be:
Al fresco venues
Most couples with intimate wedding arrangements opt for less traditional style venues and choose al fresco venues. Be it a lush garden, beach side, or poolside, are all good choices for a memorable ceremony and reception with gorgeous styling and decor. They’re also compliant with safety regulations by providing ample space and ventilation.
Small multiple events
Due to health protocols, mass gatherings are restricted by authorities. But wedding couples do have the option to host small events in several batches to accommodate all their guests. This way, all guests get to share moments with the couple as part of the wedding celebration.
Aside from health protocols, some guests are burdened by travel restrictions, especially those who live overseas. However, there are social media sites and apps (Zoom, Google Meet, Facebook Live, Instagram Live) that can be used so that guests can attend weddings virtually. The option of live streaming and recording the special event has made it possible for couples to go ahead with their nuptials with a large number of their friends and family at least online.
Small weddings leave a lot of room for couples to get busy and creative. They can add personal touches on the wedding ceremony and try different seating and table arrangements. Some couples even personalize their wedding invitations, thank you notes, the reception menu and even their wedding cake. Others put up different areas where guests can relax and mingle such as a lounge or cocktail area.
